From Scratch: day 26

It’s funny how much failure plays an important — very decisive — role in our life. And the weird thing is that although we should probably recognize that it happens frequently — more than most people would like to admit it — we act as if it's a surprisingly horrible event.

When you read about famous people, they all had their shares of failures. You name it. No matter who the person is, they all went through something to get where they are. And when looking back at their story, normally they like to point out how much that “failed” experience made them grow and shaped other life experiences.

This sounds super obvious right? Especially considering that no one actually starts from the top. Anywhere in life. But we constantly forget about it.

I am reading a book by Stephen King, the global known mystery fiction writer, about his process in writing. In other words, how he got to where he is today. And one of the things that I think nonstop while reading his lines is: no one is born with everything they want. We all need to pursue it!

But even after admiting this, we are still super damn frustrated when we see ourselves away from where we originally wanted to be. Why can’t we just understand that without failure there is no success?

There is no way you can get to the top before knowing what the ground looks like.

Think about that.
Be kinder and more realistic when establishing goals.
Remember that everything that is worked for has a better change of success.
