From Scratch: day 23

Everyday I am more convinced that to actually get things done we need to become robots.

Sadly enough we still have the false expectation that we will eventually find balance between personal, professional and our side projects. That’s bullshit.

We get things done because we always prioritize — obviously — what pays the bills, which means that the side hustle, as the name already indicates, is left aside because it is impossible to successfully get everything done.

But normally the side hustle represents a passion. Something you would like to work with but haven’t got the opportunity. And then it becomes a hobby. Many times not even this.

Sometimes it is just an idea. A wish.
This is obviously a very real part of adulting. Probably that’s why most millennials are super frustrated. No one likes to not have time to invest in themselves and their projects.

Interestingly enough we read stuff all over the place about how we should have time for us. Have someone ever told you that the day is only 24h and we should also sleep?

That is why we are always looking for ways to better use our time and produce more effectively. This makes us rethink all our planning.

Probably you think, as an outsider, that your friend or coworker does it all. But the truth is that something is probably being left out.

No one is Superman.
